Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), have emerged as significant environmental contaminants and are now restricted. The EZtrace 6-Channel PFAS Manual SPE System is specifically designed for PFOA/PFOS extraction following EPA methods 533, 537.1, and 1633. This robust, vacuum-controlled extraction workstation combines reliability, ease of use, and high performance, offering a cost-effective alternative to more expensive automated systems.
Low background contamination: This system is designed to minimize the PFAS background. Minimum number of fluid lines with non-Teflon parts makes this system easy to clean after each sample run. Disposable sample reservoirs up to 300mL are used for sample loading and disposed after each use with no need of cleaning. These designs minimize the interference from parts and carryover from sample. The background interference is well below the tightest limits (All values were below 1/3 the regulatory reporting limits for EPA methods).
High efficiency: the 6-channel design allows users to perform up to 6 extractions simultaneously. The unique independent channel design ensures that each extraction is precisely controlled, preventing cross contamination. The high throughput vacuum-control flow saves more time in extraction as compared to automatic SPE system.
Easy to use and low maintenance: This manual vacuum-controlled system has significantly fewer parts in operation requiring minimal cleaning after each run producing much less waste. This robust system is very easy to use, and very little maintenance is required.
Validated for good recovery and high precision: The application for the extraction of PFOS/PFOA compounds is proved using the Empore PFAS 500mg/6mL cartridges by EPA Method 533.
