The benchtop Manual Hydraulic Press has been newly designed specifically for preparing solid samples used in XRF (X-ray fluorescence) and IR (infrared) analyses. It comes in two versions, with capacities of 12 tons and 15 tons, to meet various needs. Its compact, fully sealed design makes it suitable not only for benchtop use but also for glove box environments, where maintaining an inert atmosphere is essential to avoid sample contamination. The press can be moved into the glovebox via the antechamber.

Two types of 13mm press dies are offered for producing KBr discs for FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared) analysis. The HM-13D model is a demolding-free press die that integrates the pellet holder and is ready for FTIR transmission analysis without needing evacuation. The HM-13E is a traditional evacuable press die that includes a magnetic disk sample holder.
