The kit includes user-friendly, disposable test microfluidic chips, a mini incubator, sampling tubes, and disposable pipettes, which can be used to identify whether there is bacterial growth or not in a milk sample taken from a dairy cow. In addition, it can differentiate between Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.
The operation procedure is straightforward. A drop of milk is added to the opening on the test chip, which is then placed in the mini incubator. The pipette has an overflow function, which ensures the necessary amount of milk applied. The mini incubator controls the conditions around the test chip. After 16 hours, different colors in the result fields on BACT test chip will indicate ‘NO GROWTH’, ‘GRAM NEG’, or ‘GRAM POS’.
