Gas plasma treatment is a proven standard for controlled substrate surface cleaning, adhesion promotion and thin film coatings. The plasma is created by using high frequency voltages to ionize the low pressure gas (typically around 1/1000 atmospheric pressure). It offers a variety of possibilities for surface modification, such as plasma cleaning (molecular contamination residues are decomposed), plasma activation (good wettability is a prerequisite for adhesion of binding partners in painting, gluing, printing etc.), plasma etching (moving materials from surfaces) and plasma coating (coting of parts). The 10.5-liter LOW-COST PLASMA LAB SYSTEM ATTO has manual, PC control, and PCCE control and rotary switch models available.
