Disposable vacuum filtration kits are a filtration system commonly utilized in research labs for large sample separation and purification. They are designed to provide a convenient and efficient method for filtering liquids, removing particulates, and sterilizing solutions for tissue culture media, biological fluids and fixation buffers.  Each disposable vacuum filtration unit is individually packaged in sterile bag and available in various sizes and configurations.

The disposable filtration kit includes one membrane filter, graduated funnel made of clear polystyrene and a polystyrene receiving bottle or container.  This product is the top funnel with membrane filter only, part of the disposable filtration kit.  The filter membrane is made of materials, such as polyethersulfone (PES), Nylon, MCE etc. and comes in various pore sizes (0.10μm, 0.22μm and 0.45μm) to accommodate different applications.  There are multiple combinations of top funnel and receiving bottle volumes (250mL, 500mL and 1000mL).
